APPLICATIONS:


1. FOOD INDUSTRY:
    Calcium carbonate is widely used as a food additive and dietary supplement. It is used as an anticaking agent in powdered foods,       a firming agent in fruits and vegetables, and a calcium supplement in fortified foods and beverages.



2. PHARMACEUTICALS:
    In pharmaceuticals, calcium carbonate is used as an antacid to relieve heartburn, indigestion and upset stomach. It works by             neutralizing excess stomach acid and can be found antacid medications. Additionally, calcium carbonate is used as a calcium           supplement to prevent or treat calcium deficiency.
