CITRIC ACID 

Citric Acid is a weak organic acid found naturally in citrus fruits such as lemons, limes, oranges, and grapefruits. Citric acid is widely used in the food and pharmaceutical industries due to its acidic and antioxidant properties.

APPLICATIONS:

1. FOOD INDUSTRY:

   Citric acid is used as a flavoring agent, preservative, and pH adjuster in a wide range of food and beverage products, including          soft drinks, candies, jams, jellies, and canned fruits and vegetables.

2. PHARMACEUTICALS:

    In pharmaceuticals, citric acid is used as an excipient in various formulations. It is used to adjust the pH of solutions, as a                 buffering agent, and as a chelating agent to improve the stability of certain drugs. Additionally, it is used to impart a sour taste       to oral medications and syrups.
