POLYVINYLPYRROLIDONE K (PVP K) 

Polyvinylpyrrolidone K (PVP K), also known as povidone, is a water-soluble polymer derived from N-vinylpyrrolidone monomers. It is a white, odorless powder with excellent film-forming, adhesive, and thickening properties.

APPLICATIONS:

1. PHARMACEUTICALS:
    PVP K is widely used in pharmaceutical formulations as a binder, disintegrant, and film-forming agent in tablets, capsules, and         topical formulations such as ointments, creams, and gels. It enhances the mechanical strength of tablets, improves drug                  dissolution, and provides a smooth and uniform film coating.

2. PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS:
      PVP K is used in hair care products such as hair styling gels, mousses, hairsprays, and hair conditioners. It provides excellent           hold, viscosity, and humidity resistance without leaving a sticky residue.

3. COSMETICS:
     PVP K is used in cosmetics such as mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and foundations as a film-forming agent, binder, and                      thickener. It improves the texture, adhesion, and long-lasting properties of cosmetic products.
